🔵 A young man got a rupee coin dropped while walking on the road. Since he did not know who the coin was, so he kept it. The boy was so happy when he got the coin that whenever he walked on the road, he could see below that he could find a coin lying there.
🔴 His age progressed gradually, but his habit of walking down the street was not missed. One day, when old age came, he collected all the coins that he had found lying on the road throughout his life. The whole amount was almost fifty rupees. When he told this to his children, his daughter said: -
🔵 "You spent your entire life looking down and earn only fifty rupees. But during this time you have lost thousands of beautiful sunrise and sunset, hundreds of attractive rainbow, lovely trees, beautiful blue sky and the smiles of people passing by. You have not really experienced life in its absolute beauty.
How many of us are in such a situation It may be that we do not find the money lying on the road, but is it not true that we have become so busy in earning money and collecting property that are ignoring other aspects of life? Not only this, we are deprived of the beauty of nature and the sweetness of our relationships with others, but also lose the largest treasure available to us - their spiritual possessions.
There is nothing wrong in earning livelihood. But when earning money becomes so important for us that our health, our family and our spiritual progress are neglected, then our life becomes unbalanced. We should also pay attention to our spiritual progress while taking care of our worldly responsibilities. We may think that walking on the spiritual path means keeping on meditation all the time, but the truth is that we should not become unbalanced in that area too.
While deciding our priorities, we should give some time to spiritual practice, some time to service for some time, some time to our family and some time to our job or business. By doing so, we will see that we will perform well in all these areas and will achieve all our goals while living a satisfying life. From time to time it should be seen whether we have been successful in achieving our goal or not. Maybe we can know that we are paying so much attention to the economic aspects of our career or our life that the family, personal growth and spiritual progress are being neglected.
